Dr. Joel Baisden
Dr. Baisden has been practicing in the metro Milwaukee area for many years. He has owned Badger Vision Center since 2001. He has experience in all aspects of eye care, and a kind caring chair-side manner. He, along with his wife, Amy, and son, Jacob enjoy going to sporting events, golfing, and fishing. “I have wanted to practice optometry since I was 12 years old, and I know I made the right decision. I truly enjoy working with all patients – from small children to senior citizens and everyone in between,” says Dr. Baisden.
Dr. Alexandra Brandt
Dr. Alexandra Brandt grew up in Muskego before attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Political Science. She continued her education at the Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated cum laude in 2017 with the degree of Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Brandt completed additional clinical training at the Illinois Eye Institute, Great Lakes Naval Station, James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, and Chicago Cornea Consultants.
Dr. Brandt has been with Badger Vision Center since 2017. She enjoys providing comprehensive eye care for her patients, including the treatment and management of various ocular diseases, contact lens fits, and urgent eye care visits. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
KelIy was born in Georgia and grew up in Florida. Later, she moved to Wisconsin and finished her education at WCTC. Kelly has been working in optics for 18 years. She enjoys working with children the most. “The biggest gift of all is seeing their smiles when they get their first pair of glasses!”
Originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, Stephanie moved to Wisconsin in 2015 and joined the Badger Vision Center team in November 2015. Stephanie has over 25 years of opticianry and management experience. Along with managing the office, you will see her fitting and dispensing glasses, assisting with optometric testing and helping at the front desk. She also meets with frame reps on a rotating basis to keep the optical updated with the newest frame styles. She enjoys traveling, paddleboarding, kayaking, baseball, NASCAR and spending time with her husband and daughter.
Maureen is an optician with over 10 years of experience, specializing in contact lenses. She really enjoys picking the perfect frames for patients. After working in many jobs she found she really enjoys working in the optical field. Maureen moved from Rosendale to Milwaukee in 2007. Maureen is a dog lover who likes reading, camping, photography and just hanging out with friends and family.
Thalia is the first friendly face you will see when you get to the office. She just arrived from Cuba 2 years ago and is looking forward to learning more in the optical field. Patients can always count on her pleasant reception.
Amy Baisden has been working here atBadger Vision Center for over 15 years. Amy is in charge of submitting the claims to various insurance companies and processing the claim payments upon receipt from the companies. She is also in charge of the accounts receivable which includes the monthly statements. Her education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College in DePere, WI. Prior to working here, Amy worked for 14 years in the insurance industry with jobs that ranged from Customer Service Rep to Claims Examiner. Amy enjoys reading, walking, biking and traveling.
Prissila Salinas is the optometric assistant at Badger Vision Center. She does the preliminary testing before the patient sees Dr.Baisden. Prissila has been in the optical field for over 3 years. She and her husband just moved up from Waukegan, IL. Prissila and her husband like to watch movies, spend time with friends and shopping.
