Joel D. Baisden, O.D.

Dr. Baisden has been practicing in the metro Milwaukee area for eighteen years. He has experience in all aspects of eyecare, and a kind chair-side manner. He, along with his wife, Amy, and son, Jacob enjoy going to sporting events, camping, and fishing. "I have wanted to practice optometry since I was 12 years old, and I know I made the right decision. I truly enjoy working with all patients - from small children to senior citizens and everyone in between," says Dr. Baisden.

Amy

My name is Amy Baisden and I have been working here at Badger Vision Center for over 10 years. I am in charge of submitting the claims to various insurance companies and processing the claim payments upon receipt from the companies. I am also in charge of the accounts receivable which includes the monthly statements. My education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College in DePere, WI. Prior to working here, I worked for 14 years in the insurance industry with jobs that ranged from Customer Service Rep to Claims Examiner.

Zulma

My name is Zulma and I am an optician. I was born in Puerto Rico, I'm fluent in Spanish, married and have a son. I went into optical in the 1980's working for Dr. Pena, in Florida when he needed a bilingual assistant. He taught me everything I know today in the optical field. I moved to Milwaukee in June 1987. I have worked for several other doctors in the area but have been with Dr. Baisden's practice for 7 years. I love what I do!

Mauline

My name is Mauline. I am an optician and have been in the optical business for approximately 20 years. I have been with Dr. Baisden for 5 years. I enjoy fitting and styling our patient's eyewear and problem solving. I've been told that I am very patient in all aspects of my job.

Johanna

My name is Johanna. I was born in Puerto Rico and i'm fluent in Spanish. I moved to Wisconsin in 1995 at the age of eight. I am currently one of the Opticians at Badger Vision Center and have been working for Dr. Baisden for almost 6 years. My job consists of working one on one with the patients and giving excellent customer service. As an optician I frame style the patient and take care of the insurance, ordering the job and making sure the patient is happy with their purchase. I am also certified as a Paraoptometric Assistant.

Sakesha

My name is Sakesha. I am the optometric assistant at Badger Vision Center and have been in the optical field for 12 Yrs. I do the preliminary testing which includes visual clarity, color vision, glaucoma, depth perception and performing a visual field screening. Also, as the contact lens technician, I am in charge of ordering and dispensing contacts to our patients.

Maria

My name is Maria. I am one of the optometric assistants at Badger Vision Center. I do the preliminary testing which includes visual clarity, color vision, glaucoma, depth perception and performing a visual field screening. I also assist in the ordering and dispensing of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
